8 Tips for walking at home

  • Set targets. Start slow and gradually increase the target
  • Stick to your plan. If you have set a time every day to walk try your best not to alter it
  • Motivate yourself when you walk on your own
  • Drink water during your walk
  • Wear proper walking shoes
  • Walk with a friend or your family as it is safer and much more fun
  • Warm up or stretch before you start your walk. A 5 minute low intensity walk is a good warm up.
  • Cool down after your walk. A 5 minute low intensity walk at the end of the exercise is a good way to cool down.
